Answers to our most frequently asked questions...

Registration- please use the registration link on the homepage to register your child. We do not have paper sign up options. Our season typically runs from the beginning of July to mid November!   

Cheer - registration fees are as follows:

$475 players 6 years old - 7th grade & $300 for 8th Grade Cheerleaders (use coupon code 8THCH)
(Includes custom fit full uniform (bow to toe), shoes, and SYF comp fees)
Last Day to register for Cheer is June 1, 2024 - no exceptions.
**A minimum payment $300 must be made or an automatic payment plan set up by June 1, 2024 to order uniform! All balances for cheer fees must be paid in full or on an automatic payment plan by Jamboree. No Cheer refunds after June 1.

FOOTBALL - registration fees are as follows: 

$350 players 6 years old - 7th grade
$175 for 8th Grade Players (use coupon code 8THFB)

*Pick your Jersey Number if paid in full & registered by March 15, 2024. All requested numbers after this date are subject to availability. Price includes spirit pack and jersey. Jersey numbers are First Come, First Served & not guaranteed. 

Team level based on age as of 8/1/2024.  All 8th grade players play on the 14U team regardless of age. 
No Football refunds after the last day of camp week.

All football fees must be paid in full or set up on an automatic payment plan before Jamboree. 

Medical Clearance Form - Each participant MUST complete a physical after 4/1/2024 in order to participate in the season. The physical form can be found in the downloads section. It MUST be STAMPED by your physician. Without the physician stamp/signature the physical is invalid. NO child may participate on the field until his/her physical is complete.  There are NO exceptions. 

School Enrollment Form - SYF required a form to be signed & stamped to verify age & grade level.  This form can be found in the downloads section.

Parent Participation Requirements - In addition to registration costs, TWO $100 deposit checks for parent participation hours will be required by our Parent Participation coordinator at equipment handouts and Cheer fittings. Players will not receive equipment till they are turned in.  Each family can expect to participate 2 hours per home game. We typically host 4-5 home games per season. The deposit checks will be returned at the end of the season if each family's participation goals are met. Our organization cannot function without our volunteers. We NEED your help. There are a variety of ways to help out, snack shack, gate fees, videographer, coaching are just a few of the needed spots.  A sign up list will go out prior to the first home games.  Failure to sign up and/or complete your hours will result in your $100 Volunteer Check (REQUIRED) being cashed.  Failure to sign up and/or complete your hours another time will result in your second $100 Volunteer Check (REQUIRED) being cashed.  

Fundraising - We have a few fundraising opportunities.   We will have a Punt, Pass & Kick fundraiser for each of the players & cheerleaders to participate in to help raise money towards their registration fees (details to come).   We also have a program that is put together & sold at home games that players can solicit business sponsors for.  The forms are under the download tab on the website - under program sponsor form. 

Practices - Practice will take place on the lower fields at Nevada Union High School.  All teams and squads practice at the same time and in the same place.
we Practice from 6pm - 8pm.  We start with Monday - Thursday and the drop to 3 nights a week once school starts (typically Tuesday - Thursday but it depends on High School Schedule) 

Parents - We absolutely love you but you are NOT allowed on the field. Do not go on the field during practice. SYF rules as well as our insurance policy strictly prohibits anyone who is not badged from SYF from being on the field.

Games - All games are typically played on Saturdays. We play all around the Sacramento area so prepare for light travel.  Schedule will come out closer to the start of the season.  The schedule is a set schedule for each Saturday and will be as follows:

       8u- 10am

      10u- 12pm

      12u- 2pm

      14u- 4pm

Gate Fees - the biggest surprise to new families every year is the gate fee. Yes, you have to pay to come watch your child play. SYF requires us to charge a fee and frankly we have to charge that amount just to cover the stadium rental fee from the district. Gate fees are as follows for all standard games (not jamboree or playoffs)
12 & up $6.00
11 & under & Seniors $4.00                              2 & under Free
